- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently - Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases - Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of various products - Utilize technical sales knowledge to recommend products that meet customers' needs and preferences - Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including restocking merchandise as needed - Handle cash transactions, including receiving payments, giving change, and processing refunds - Adhere to all cash handling procedures and policies to ensure accuracy and security
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred - Knowledge of jewelry sales is a plus - Familiarity with retail math for calculating discounts, sales tax, and totals - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Proficient in phone etiquette for answering customer inquiries and taking orders Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
